The Uplandsteig is a 66-kilometer circular hiking trail in northern Hesse that leads around the community of Willingen and touches all nine districts of this community. It is located in the Diemelsee Nature Park . A total of 1,480 vertical meters have to be overcome on the route.

Route

From Willingen the route leads via Schwalefeld to Rattlar , from there to Hemmighausen , then via Eimelrod to Neerdar . It continues from Bömighausen via Welleringhausen to Usseln . With a detour to North Rhine-Westphalia, the highest point of the hike is reached on the Langenberg . From there it goes back to the starting point in Willingen.
