Urbain Etienne Morlion MAfr (born February 15, 1894 in Pollinkhove , Lo-Reninge , Belgium , † January 31, 1985 ) was Bishop of Baudouinville .

Life

Urbain Etienne Morlion joined the religious order of the White Fathers in and received on 2 February 1922, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On July 11, 1939, Pope Pius XII appointed him . the titular bishop of Tarasa in Numidia and Koadjutorvikar of Baudouinville. Pius XII. donated him episcopal ordination on October 29 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the secretary of the Congregation de Propaganda Fide , Archbishop Celso Costantini , and the retired Vicar Apostolic of Uganda , Henri Streicher MAfr.

Morlion became on September 22, 1941, succeeding the resigned Victor Roelens MAfr Vicar Apostolic of Baudouinville. On November 10, 1959, Urbain Etienne Morlion became the first bishop of Baudouinville as a result of the elevation of the Vicariate Apostolic Baudouinville.

On September 29, 1966, Pope Paul VI. the resignation put forward by Morlion and appointed him titular bishop of Catabum Castra . On January 29, 1971, Morlion renounced the titular bishopric of Catabum Castra.

Urbain Etienne Morlion attended all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
