Urban Scaling (literally urban scale ) call the scientists phenomenon that in growing cities of prosperity is increasing faster than the population . This phenomenon is explained by the productivity- increasing effects of social networks in urbanized and infrastructurally dense settlement structures .

The Urban-Scaling - Theory of Luís Bettencourt , professor of complex systems at the Santa Fe Institute in Santa Fe ( New Mexico , USA ), according to a city faster than population growth is flourishing, was an analysis of archaeological excavations of historic human settlements to that in Years 1960 to 1975 were confirmed in the Valley of Mexico . The result was published in the scientific journal Science Advances on February 1, 2015.
