Ursula Gärtner (politician)

Ursula Gärtner b. Jacobitz (born September 24, 1901 in Halle (Saale) ; † January 15, 1989 ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After graduating from high school in 1920, Ursula Gärtner took an exam as a welfare worker in Hirschberg (Silesia) in 1922. She worked in Breslau , Berlin and in the Waldenburg industrial area in Silesia. Because of unemployment, she started a midwifery course in 1935 and passed the midwife examination in Breslau in 1937 . She then worked as a midwife in Neustadt (Upper Silesia). From November 1941 she worked as a welfare worker in Frankfurt am Main .

Ursula Gärtner was married and has two children.

politics

Ursula Gärtner was a member of the SPD and the workers' welfare . She had been a member of the SPD party executive committee for Hesse-South since 1949.

From December 1, 1950 to November 30, 1962 she was a member of the Hessian state parliament. In 1954 she was a member of the 2nd and in 1959 the 3rd Federal Assembly .
