Ursula Wasser

Ursula Waßer (born January 27, 1966 in Hagen ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Social Court .

Life

Ursula Waßer spent her childhood in Kevelaer . After graduating from high school in 1985, he studied law and sociology . She passed the first state examination in law in 1990, the second in June 1994 after successfully completing her legal traineeship .

From July 1994 to April 2000, Waßer was a research assistant at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg , where she received her doctorate in 1999 with a thesis on " Franchising between labor law and commercial law ".

After a year as a salaried lawyer in Halle , she joined the judicial service in January 2002 , where she was initially appointed as a probationary judge at the Halle Social Court, and in May 2006 as a judge for life . In February 2009 she moved to the State Social Court of Saxony-Anhalt , where she trained as a judge mediator and held a series of judge appointments during the trial phase of in-court and near-court mediation .

On May 29, 2013 Ursula Waßer was appointed judge at the Federal Social Court, where she has since been a member of the 3rd Senate, which is responsible for the benefit law of statutory health insurance , social insurance for artists and long-term care insurance .

Ursula Waßer is a co-author of the juris practice comments on statutory health insurance and the common provisions for social insurance in SGB ​​IV . She is married and has two children who were born while working as a research assistant at the university. She continues to live with her family in Halle and commutes to work in Kassel.
