The Us ( Russian Ус , also Уса) is a right tributary of the Yenisei in the Russian region of Krasnoyarsk in southern Siberia .
The Us rises in Western Sayan . It flows in a predominantly south-westerly direction through the mountains to the Sajano-Schuschensker reservoir . The Us has a length of 236 km. The Us drains an area of 6880 km². The river is mainly fed by the snowmelt . The mean discharge (MQ) 12 km above the mouth is 64.5 m³ / s. The Us freezes in November. It will be ice-free again by the beginning of May.
