Usch with tributaries

The Ush ( Ukrainian Уж ) is a right tributary of the Prypiat in Ukraine .

The Ush has its source in the Zhytomyr Oblast . Shortly before its mouth below the city of Chornobyl in the Kiev Oblast , the Weresna (Вересна) flows towards it from the right. A little later the Pripyat flows into the Dnepr . The mouth is already in the area of ​​the Kiev reservoir .

The Usch has a length of 256 km. It drains an area of ​​8080 km². The Ush is mainly fed by the snowmelt . The mean discharge 16 km above the mouth is 24.7 m³ / s. The river usually freezes between November and the first half of February. Between March and mid-April it becomes ice-free again.
