Usheoritse Itsekiri gained his first experience in international championships at the 2015 African Youth Championships in Réduit , where he finished fourth over 200 meters. He then took part in the Commonwealth Youth Games in Apia , where he reached the semi-finals over 100 and 200 meters. In 2018 he took part for the first time in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast and was disqualified there in the final with the Nigerian 4 x 100 meter relay. At the IAAF World Relays 2019 in Yokohama , he was disqualified with both the 4-by-100 and the 4-by-200-meter relay. He then took part in the Africa Games in Rabat for the first time and won the bronze medal over 100 meters with 10.02 seconds behind his compatriot Raymond Ekevwo and Arthur Cissé from the Ivory Coast. He also won the silver medal behind the team from Ghana with the relay in 38.59 s. He qualified for the World Championships in Doha , but retired there with 10.46 s in the preliminary round and was disqualified with the relay in the preliminary round .
In 2019, Itsekiri became the Nigerian champion in the 100 and 200 meters.
