The Ustje ( Russian У́стье ) forms the left source river of the Kotorosl in the central Russian Oblast of Yaroslavl .

The Ustje rises in the Uglich Rajon in the west of Yaroslavl Oblast and flows mainly in an easterly direction. It passes the small town of Borisoglebski and is later picked up from the left by the Moksa , its largest tributary. The M8 trunk road crosses the river at Semibratowo . In the last few kilometers the Ustje turns south and finally joins the Wjoksa , the outflow of Lake Nero , to form the Kotorosl. The heights of Borissoglebski run south of the Ustje in an east-west direction .

The Ustje has a length of 153 km. It drains an area of 2530 km². The river is mainly fed by the snowmelt . The mean discharge at river kilometer 42 is 10.3 m³ / s. The Ustje is ice-covered between mid-November and April.
