Uta Reinhardt (born February 6, 1966 in Bielefeld ) is a German painter.

Life

Uta Reinhardt grew up in Schloss Holte in the Teutoburg Forest . She attended the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences from 1988 to 1994 and received her diploma in painting from Inge Dörries-Höher . During this time she went on extensive work trips to Asia and Africa. From 1994 to 1998 she studied painting with Hermann Albert at the HBK Braunschweig . Reinhardt worked in Munich from 1998 to 2016, and from 2000 to 2011 she also had a studio in Berlin .

As a member of the Konvention painter group, in which she worked from 1996 to 2002, she formulated a credo for her painting that goes beyond the “group of individuals”: “We think that we want to explain everything, only makes the unexplained mediocre. The clarity eludes the explanation. It remains hidden in the unsettled. "

After numerous group exhibitions, the Munich gallery owner and founder of the Gunzenhauser Collection, Alfred Gunzenhauser , emphatically promoted Uta Reinhardt's work development from the mid-2000s through purchases for his own collection, exhibitions and brokered acquisitions by German and international collectors.

Her paintings are in the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz museum Gunzenhauser , collections Nord LB Braunschweig and Hannover, in the collection BAG, Berlin and in numerous private European collections.

Reinhardt lives and works in Reichersbeuern in the Oberland.
