Ute Quast

Ute Quast (born October 24, 1934 in Erfurt ) is a German physician and non-fiction author .

After graduating from high school in 1955 in Düsseldorf , she began studying medicine in Göttingen, which she completed in Marburg in 1960 with the medical state examination. She wrote her license to practice medicine and doctorate in 1963 on a pharmacological topic. In 1994 she received her diploma in pharmaceutical medicine (PharmMed).

Her professional career included clinical activities in Marburg, Frankenberg and Siegen , work in serology and microbiology in the hygiene institutes in Fulda and Marburg , teaching at the midwifery school and nursing school at the University of Marburg and the establishment and management of the drug safety department at Behringwerke AG, Marburg. Since 1995 she has been an employee of the German Green Cross eV (DGK), where she works as a specialist vaccine advisor , lecturer for vaccination recommendations, medical training and responsible for the travel vaccination software IBERA from a medical perspective.

In addition, she has been in charge of the drug safety committee in the German Society for Pharmaceutical Medicine (DGPharmMed) for several years and for many years secretary on the board of the German Medical Association (DÄB), currently on the board of Forum 60plus in the DÄB.

Quast is divorced and has four sons.
