Uwe Bicker

Uwe Bicker (born June 14, 1945 in Halle (Saale) ) is a German oncologist .

Life

Bicker first studied chemistry and received his doctorate in 1972 at the Academy of Sciences of the GDR . A Study of Medicine , he completed in 1983 at the University of Heidelberg with a doctorate.

From 1975 Bicker worked in management positions at Boehringer Mannheim , and in 1994 he moved to Hoechst . In 1976 he qualified as a professor at the Medical Faculty Mannheim for experimental chemotherapy . Since 1983 he has been an adjunct professor at Heidelberg University. Since October 2011 he has been the full-time head of the Medical Faculty Mannheim, since January 2012 Dean . In October 2015 he handed over the office to Sergij Goerdt .

He is also a member of the board of trustees of the International Martin Luther Foundation and the Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt . He was also a member of the board of trustees of the non-profit Bertelsmann Foundation from 2008 to 2010 .

In March 2013 it was reported that Bicker had received a total of one million euros for a questionable consulting contract with Siemens from 2008, which was terminated prematurely in 2010.
