Uwe Feiler
Uwe Wolfgang Werner Feiler (born November 2, 1965 in Luhdorf near Winsen (Luhe) ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and financial economist. Since December 3, 2019, he has been Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture .
Life
Uwe Feiler was born in November 1965 in what is now Winsen / Luhe and spent his childhood and youth there. He finished school in 1985 with a high school diploma . He then decided to continue his education with a degree in finance. After completing his studies at the Lower Saxony University of Finance, Uwe Feiler began his career in the financial administration of Lower Saxony in 1988 and continued in the financial administration of Saxony-Anhalt from 1991. Uwe Feiler is married and has 3 grown children.

He joined the CDU Brandenburg in 2005 and was elected to the district council in the Havelland district in 2008.
After an initial candidacy in the 2009 federal elections , Uwe Feiler won the CDU's direct candidate in the Oberhavel - Havelland II federal electoral district in the 2013 federal elections . From 2013 until his appointment as Parliamentary State Secretary, he was a member of the German Bundestag's Finance Committee , the Committee on European Union Affairs and the body pursuant to Section 23c (8) of the Customs Investigation Service Act .
In the 2017 federal election , Uwe Feiler was directly re-elected with 29.9% of the first votes in constituency 58.
On November 27, 2019, it was announced that he would succeed Michael Stübgen as Parliamentary State Secretary for Food and Agriculture in the Merkel IV cabinet , and on December 3, he officially received the certificate of appointment.
Memberships
Uwe Feiler is a member of the non-partisan European Union Germany , which advocates a federal Europe and the European unification process. In addition, Feiler is involved in several voluntary associations, among other things he has been chairman of the sports club Empor Spaatz and member of the human rights center Cottbus eV for eleven years.
