Uwe Jensen (politician)

Uwe Jensen (born March 10, 1943 in Lürschau ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

From 1987 to 1988 he was second vice-president of the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein and from 1988 to 1993 State Secretary in the Ministry of Justice of Schleswig-Holstein .

Life and work

After graduating from high school , Jensen did his military service from 1962 to 1964 and then studied law at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel and the Philipps-Universität Marburg , which he completed in 1968 with the first state examination in law. After the clerkship he laid in 1971 and the second state examination and was then as to 1979 Judge at the Administrative Court of Schleswig operates. Jensen has been a lawyer in Schleswig since 1993 .

Uwe Jensen is married and has three children.

Political party

Jensen joined the SPD in 1969 and from 1975 was a member of the board of the SPD district association Schleswig-Flensburg .

MP

Jensen was a member of the Schleswig-Flensburg district council from 1974 to 1986 and was a member of the Borgwedel community council from 1978 to 2013 .

From 1979 to 1988 Jensen was a member of the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein. From 1983 to 1987 he was deputy chairman of the Committee on Home Affairs and Legal Affairs and from 1983 to 1988 judicial policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group. In 1986 he was also deputy chairman of the investigative committee for the Schönberg landfill. In 1987/88 Jensen was a member of the investigation committee into the Barschel-Pfeiffer affair . After the candidate Alfred Schulz originally planned by the SPD parliamentary group failed to win the majority in two ballots in the constituent session of the 11th Schleswig-Holstein parliament on October 2, 1987 , Uwe Jensen of the parliamentary group finally became the candidate for the office of second vice-president of the parliament named and also elected.

Uwe Jensen is a directly elected member of the 1987 constituency before always Schleswig and on the national list drawn into the parliament. Jensen did not accept the direct mandate he won in the state elections on May 8, 1988 in the constituency of Schleswig.

Public offices

On May 31, 1988 Jensen was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Justice of Schleswig-Holstein. After the resignation of Prime Minister Björn Engholm and the formation of a new state government under Heide Simonis , Jensen left office on May 19, 1993.

From 1998 to 2013 Uwe Jensen was honorary mayor of the Borgwedel community .

Uwe Jensen has been a deputy judge at the Schleswig-Holstein State Constitutional Court since 2008 .
