Uwe Mäuer (born November 2, 1971 in Leipzig ) is a German handball trainer and former handball player . It was used in the center of the circle .
Uwe Mäuer started playing handball at SG Zschortau and in the Delitzsch training center. After a station at SC Leipzig, the 1.94 m tall and 107 kg heavy cyclist moved to the Bundesliga club VfL Gummersbach . In 1996 he joined the league rivals SC Magdeburg . With the SCM he won the DHB Supercup 1996, the EHF Cup 1998/99 and 2000/01, the German championship in 2001 and, to top it off, the EHF Champions League 2001/02.
After seven years he left the Bundesliga and moved to the second division club SV Anhalt Bernburg . In the 2008/09 season, Mäuer was temporarily a player-coach. For the 2010/11 season he went to the lower class Magdeburger SV 90. In 2012 he ended his career and took over the coaching position at HV Rot-Weiss Staßfurt.
Uwe Mäuer is a trained retail salesman and fitness trainer.
