Uwe Reckzeh (born December 3, 1958 ) is a German electronic music musician living in Beckum .

He found his interest in electronic music as early as 1974 through a chance contact with the Kraftwerk group's Autobahn album . A passion for Tangerine Dream and Jean-Michel Jarre followed . At the beginning of the 1980s he bought his first synthesizers, a Moog Prodigy and a Korg Polysix, but parted ways with them soon after, after disappointing results. A few years later, however, he rediscovered his passion through a friend who worked with a Roland D50 and Atari . He set up a small studio with the same and other devices and began to write his first pieces.

Together with his friend Karsten Loos (Kasuma, Kay Stone), who produced trance music , and the singer Susi Vering, they released the album Trance Meditation in 1995 under the name Project in a limited edition of 70 CD-Rs . A year later Karsten Loos and Uwe Reckzeh created a second album Universe , this time as a pressed CD with an edition of 500 copies.

In 1997 Uwe Reckzeh's first CD, Behind the Northern Wasteland , was released, which was included in the program by CUE Records . After three more solo albums, Point North was released in 2006, in his own opinion the best of his previous CDs. In addition to various music hardware, he is now also increasingly relying on software synthesizers and effects. In the same year, the SynGate label took over the distribution of its albums, which resulted in its first live performance at the Satzvey music festival.

At the beginning of 2008 he signed with the young music label MellowJet Records , which re-released all previous solo albums in a new mastered manner. The album Unnatural Light joined them in spring 2009 .

In addition to his active musical career, Uwe Reckzeh also endeavored to promote his passion, electronic music, and has been moderating the bi-weekly program Atmosphere on the local radio WAF in Warendorf as part of the citizens' radio program since 2004 .
