Uwe Schneider (born August 28, 1971 ) is a former German soccer player .
With VfB Stuttgart Schneider became German A-Junior Champion in 1988/89 . He played 99 Bundesliga games for VfB (1991-1994), VfL Bochum (1994/95) and Eintracht Frankfurt (1998-2000). His most successful time was at VfB Stuttgart, with whom he became German champion in the 1991/92 season under coach Christoph Daum . This was also his only season in which he played more than half of all first division games.
He played 32 games in the 2nd Bundesliga, one season each with Hannover 96 and 1. FC Nürnberg . Then Schneider was active for three years in the Regionalliga Süd at VfR Aalen , for which he scored two goals in 42 games.
After the active career
Since 2008 he has been the sports director of the upper division club FC 08 Villingen .
On May 9, 2008, coach Kristijan Đorđević resigned only at the end of the season, then on May 10, 2008 with immediate effect from his contract as coach of FC 08 Villingen, which ran until 2011. Then Schneider took over the training until the end of the season, in cooperation with assistant trainer Peter Grütering.
