Víctor Víctor
Víctor José Víctor Rojas (born December 11, 1948 in Santiago de los Caballeros , † July 16, 2020 in Santo Domingo ) was a Dominican Bachata singer and composer .
Víctor made his debut in 1972 with his composition La casita , which he recorded on record with Wilfrido Vargas . He then founded the group Nueva Fortuna , of which he was a singer-songwriter and band leader. With the Flanboyan group founded in 1978 , titles in the Bachata - Merengue style such as Mesita de Noche and Asi Es Mi Amor were created . Musicians like Celia Cruz , Azúcar Moreno , Danny Rivera and Emmanuel also recorded his compositions.
In 2006 the album Bachata Entre Amigos was released , a co-production with the Dominican guitarist Juan Francisco Ordóñez . In this album Victor varies the bachata in a duet with artists such as Joaquín Sabina , Joan Manuel Serrat , Luis Días , Silvio Rodríguez , Pablo Milanés , Fito Páez and Víctor Manuel .
He died of complications from COVID-19 in July 2020 at the age of 71 .
