VIVA Live! was a music show that aired on VIVA between 2005 and 2011 . While the program, originally hosted by Collien Ulmen-Fernandes and Jan Köppen , was initially broadcast daily from Monday to Friday, from January 2009 there was only one issue on Thursday and Friday each week. From March 17, 2010, a Wednesday edition and the new presenter Nadine Vasta were added. With the new VIVA concept in 2011, VIVA Live! since January 3, 2011, every Monday to Thursday from 2:10 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

On March 10, 2011, VIVA Live! along with the MTV telecast MTV Home set. The last episode VIVA Live! from Collien Ulmen-Fernandes.

VIVA Live! represented the counterpart to the - meanwhile also discontinued - live broadcast TRL by MTV .

New concept of the broadcast

As of October 2010, all categories were given up, so that the VIVA Live! Supercharts were running. The Supercharts should represent the most clicked clips on the web for the past week. There was no audience in these programs. After the show was discontinued, the Supercharts were integrated into the program as an independent broadcast.

Pop quiz

Every Tuesday, two candidates, chosen by the moderator at random from the audience, competed against each other and had to answer questions about pop music. After each round, whoever answered the question correctly received one point. The candidate with the most points won and received a prize, which mostly consisted of a selectable concert ticket.

Your performance

In the beginning, VIVA Live! (mostly Tuesdays or Thursdays) the show "Your Performance" . In this internal show, three acts compete against each other. Most of the time there are single people, but you can also appear in pairs. At this show, candidates can showcase any talent they want, e.g. E.g. singing, dancing but also performing soccer tricks. Each candidate has 60 seconds to present their talent. After the performances you can call for your favorite until the end of the program, at the end the winner will be announced and will also win a special prize, although this varies from show to show.

Top 10 singles charts

The official top 10 of the German single charts was always published on Thursdays.

Music video premieres

New videos were mostly presented on Thursday or Friday.

Guests

Until October 2010 guests came to the show regularly. By mid-September 2006 there were over 160 guests on the show. The first guests on the show were US5 .

Desired clip day

On the days when no guests were visiting, VIVA Live! a desired clip day . Viewers were asked to choose a song from a previously published playlist and then share this clip during the live show either by email or by phone call. Since the redesign of the studio in summer 2009, such a broadcast has not taken place.

Moderation

Initially, the show was moderated by the three presenters Johanna Klum , Gülcan Kamps and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf . In 2006 Martin Tietjen hosted a special edition of YOU . From 2007 onwards only Kamps and Heufer-Umlauf moderated the program and were occasionally represented by Johanna Klum and Collien Ulmen-Fernandes . From 2008, Collien Ulmen-Fernandes, Gülcan Kamps and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf then moderated the program as permanent presenters and were occasionally represented by Johanna Klum and the newly added VJs Jan Köppen and Sebastian König . This team of moderators was organized by mid-2009. From July 2009 only Collien Ulmen-Fernandes and Jan Köppen presented the program. From March 17, 2010, Nadine Vasta was also part of the moderation team.
