Valérie Wagner (2020)

Valérie Wagner (* 1965 in Detmold ) is a German photographer , artist and author . She lives and works in Hamburg.

Career

From 1986 to 1989 Valérie Wagner studied music and literature at the University of Hamburg and then received Fine Art from the Villigst study program in London . She has been a freelance photo artist since 1992. Wagner's theater work in stage and light design (1986 to 2001) influenced her photographic work with regard to the connection between lighting, staging and photo installation.

Valérie Wagner implements her projects as serial works. This work follows a conceptual approach. The human being in his relationship to himself and to the environment is at the center of her artistic work.
