Valentin Ruckebier

Valentin Ruckebier (born November 13, 1997 in Wuppertal ) is a German composer and musician .

Life

Valentin Ruckebier grew up as the son of the guitarist Marco Schmidt and the singer Astrid Ruckebier in Remscheid . He played the violin in the chamber orchestra of the Remscheid Music and Art School, and sang in the boys' choir " Wuppertaler Kurrende " for two years . At the age of eight, Ruckebier took piano lessons and wrote his first compositions, and subsequently took composition lessons from Thomas Holland-Moritz . In 2009 Ruckebier became a student of David P. Graham in the composition class of the Clara Schumann Music School in Düsseldorf , in 2014 he became a student of the Robert Schumann University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf in the composition class of Manfred Trojahn and Oliver Schneller . In September 2014, a film about his musical career was broadcast for the first time on WDR and ARD as part of the documentary series "DokYou". Ruckebier took part in various composition seminars and masterclasses with Jörg Widmann , Martin Christoph Redel , Theo Brandmüller , Mark Andre , Annette Schlünz and Dieter Mack , among others . His works were premiered and interpreted by the E-MEX-Ensemble , the Augsburg Philharmonic , the Rheinische Philharmonie Koblenz , the tanzhaus NRW , the men's ensemble "Stimmwerk / 13" of the Dresden Kreuzchor , the Ensemble MusikFabrik and Susanne Kessel .
