Valentine Friedli

Valentine Friedli-Grässli (born April 6, 1929 in Saint-Aubin-Sauges , † July 10, 2016 in Delémont , entitled to live in Grabs and Welschenrohr ) was a Swiss politician ( SP ).

Friedli attended secondary school in Delsberg and then obtained a diploma as a commercial clerk . She then worked as a management secretary . She has been an active member since the Association féminine pour la defense du Jura was founded in 1963. From 1970 to 1990 she was on the board of the Rassemblement jurassien . From 1973 to 1978 she was City Councilor of Delémont and from 1976 to 1978 the only woman on the Constitutional Council of the Canton of Jura . Then, from 1979 to 1983, she was in the Jura parliament before she took a seat in the National Council from 1983 to 1987 . She was also a member of Amnesty International and SOS-Asile Jura.

Valentine Friedli was the mother of seven children.
