During a general examination, the examining doctor discovers several deficits in the health of the father of a family, which is why he prescribes a cure for him .
How important this decision is can already be seen from the fact that the father is not able to go to the station and get on the train on his own because he is simply too fat and immobile. He only takes part half-heartedly in the morning exercise on the first day of the cure and immediately disappears again to smoke a cigarette in the nearby forest. He spends the morning on treatments and then goes to lunch. The patient in front of him, a very slender man, is given two chicken legs, while for him only raw vegetables are passed through the flap. This is reason enough for the father to leave the home and have a pork knuckle in a nearby restaurant , which is accompanied by a beer.
The following medical analysis of his data puzzles the spa doctor . But already in the evening the father meets again with like-minded people to pay homage to the card game with harder alcoholic drinks. It is already dark when a young woman passes under his window. The father immediately puts on his suit and climbs down the rain gutter into the street to follow her. He realizes with horror that the young woman is the nurse who will bring him back to his bed.
This meeting is very embarrassing for the father and he will keep all the rules of the spa for the future. Since he is now an exemplary patient, he returns home to his dear wife, stabilized in health.
