action

The American ex-inmate Michael Woods wants to visit his wife in Johannesburg. At the airport, the rental company assigns him vehicle number 19, which is not his desired model, but Woods accepts this.

While driving through Johannesburg, he finds a cell phone and a gun. A call on his cell phone tells him that two vehicles have been mixed up and that he should come to an address to exchange vehicles. On the way there he finds the tied public prosecutor Shabangu in the trunk. She tells him an outrageous story about corrupt cops and their kidnapping, but Woods doesn't want anything to do with it. When they are shot at at the meeting point and are able to flee, he believes her and wants to help her.

Woods drives to the embassy where his wife is staying. He can prevent her kidnapping, but the prosecutor is shot. She makes an audio recording with all the backgrounds about the corrupt police officers, which is to be handed over to a judge. Shortly afterwards, she succumbs to her injuries.

Woods has the car repainted to avoid being discovered by the police immediately. But after a short time he was found and followed by several police cars and a helicopter. He reaches the courthouse where the wanted judge works. Since the police have cordoned everything off and Woods cannot enter the building, he takes a television reporter hostage. One of the corrupt cops shoots him, but Woods is able to play the prosecutor's audio into the reporter's microphone.

In the last scene, it is announced on the radio that an American tourist had helped the police solve a corruption scandal.
