Paul William Walker IV (born September 12, 1973 in Glendale , California - † November 30, 2013 in Santa Clarita , California) was an American actor and film producer . He gained notoriety through the impersonation of Brian O'Conner in the action film series Fast and Furious .

life and career

Walker grew up with two brothers and two sisters in Southern California . He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was raised a Mormon . As a child, his mother got him to appear in commercials . Early on he had small guest appearances in television series. After graduating from Village Christian High School , he first studied marine biology . Finally, he made up his mind and embarked on an acting career.

Walker first appeared in lesser-known films before starring alongside Tobey Maguire and Reese Witherspoon in Pleasantville in 1998 - Too Good to Be True . 1999 followed Varsity Blues and She's All That with junior Freddie Prinze and Rachael Leigh Cook . He had his breakthrough in 2001 with the action film The Fast and the Furious on the side of Vin Diesel . The role of Undercover - Cops Brian O'Conner he was allowed in 2003 in the sequel 2 Fast 2 Furious embody again.

Walker was the father of a daughter, from whose mother he lived separately. At first the daughter lived with her mother in Hawaii , but in 2011 they moved to California to be closer to Walker. Walker lived in Santa Barbara and Huntington Beach , California.

On November 30, 2013, Walker and his friend, racing driver Roger Rodas, were killed in a car accident in the Valencia district of Santa Clarita north of Los Angeles . They were on the return of Walker's Reach-Out-Worldwide event held to benefit victims of Typhoon Haiyan . Rodas lost control of his Porsche Carrera GT at excessive speed (approx. 160 km / h) , which then hit a lamp post, then a tree and then went up in flames. Both occupants of the vehicle died at the scene of the accident, Walker in the passenger seat.

Paul Walker was cremated and entombed with his close family on December 14, 2013 in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills .
