Veilside
VeilSide Co., Ltd. is a Japanese automobile tuning manufacturer with headquarters east of the Tsukuba Circuit in Tsukuba , Ibaraki northeast of Tokyo and a subsidiary in Paramount , California south of Los Angeles . It was founded in September 1990 by Yokomaku Hiranao. From his family name and the company name was (company) as "maku" translated from Japanese to English Veil (dt. Fog) and "yoku" Side (dt. Side) means. VeilSide means freely translated "veil side".
history
At the beginning, the company was solely dedicated to performance products, i.e. engine, chassis and weight reduction parts for mainly Japanese vehicles. At the Tokyo Auto Salon 1991, a customer vehicle with many modifications from the company won several trophies.
Today VeilSide is one of the most renowned independent tuning companies in Japan and the USA as well as the supplier for the Japanese drifting championship D1GP. VeilSide also offers modifications for various vehicles from Europe and the USA. For the free market, the company mainly produces bodywork conversion parts, so-called body kits , for road and racing use, as well as rims, sports seats and other sporty interior fittings.
The extreme body modifications of the house stand out very concisely. The body kits known as "VeilSide Fortune" change the outline of the respective vehicle so fundamentally that the cars look like models from an unknown brand. Good examples are the VeilSide Fortune Mazda RX-7 and the Veilside Fortune Honda NSX . The Mazda RX-7 also played one of the automotive lead roles in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift . A yellow Honda NSX with the Veilside Fortune body kit was also featured in some sequences of the film.
The conversion kit for the Mazda comprises a total of 19 individual parts, including headlights specially made for this body kit and a rear window cover that makes the rear of the vehicle appear even more radical.
In 2008, VeilSide created the premium label "Premier 4509 Limited" for the brands Aston Martin , Bentley , Ferrari and Lamborghini .
