Vejers Strand is a Danish holiday resort with only 65 inhabitants (2005) but over 1000 holiday homes. Vejers Strand is located in the Syddanmark region , about 30 km northwest of Esbjerg and between the towns of Blåvand and Grærup on the west coast of Jutland .
The place belongs to the municipality of Varde , the city of Varde with the municipal administration is 20 km away.
Vejers is one of the oldest holiday resorts in Denmark, the first holiday homes were built in the 1930s. There are also three large campsites. The beach in front of the southern half of the village is open to cars. The wide sandy beach is popular with water sports enthusiasts and horse riders alike. The Horns Rev offshore wind farm can be seen when visibility is good .
There is a candy factory on site.
Vejers is enclosed in the south and east by the Oksbøllejren military training area on the Kallesmærsk Hede . This is where the former village of Grærup is located, which was evacuated in the 1960s and left to the military for training purposes. Roads and the stretch of beach south of Vejers may be closed on maneuvers.
