Velika Plana ( Serbian - Cyrillic Велика Плана ) is a town in the municipality of Velika Plana in the Podunavlje district in Serbia . The city is located on the left bank of the Morava River , which does not flow directly through the city.
Residents
At the 2011 census, the city had 17,168 inhabitants. Most of them were Serbian Orthodox Serbs .

The city is located on the Belgrade – Niš motorway . It is also on the Belgrade - Niš railway line with connections to Bulgaria and Macedonia .
