Veljko Petković (Cyrillic Вељко Петковић, born January 23, 1977 in Kraljevo , Yugoslavia ) is a former Serbian volleyball player .
With the Yugoslav national team he won the gold medal at the 2000 Olympic Games and was runner-up in 1998 .
His career began with OK Vojvodina Novi Sad , where he and his teammates won the Yugoslav championship for years . After he developed into one of the best volleyball players in Yugoslavia, he left the club and moved abroad. In the 2009/10 season he played for ACH Volley Bled in Slovenia before moving to OK Budvanska Rivijera from Montenegro in June 2010 , where he was active until December 2012.
Veljko's younger brother Vlado also played in the Serbian national team .
