Vera Juers

Vera Antonia Jürs (* 9. October 1944 in Gliwice as Vera Antonia Warwas; † 16th March 2019 in Niendorf ) was a Hamburg CDU - politician .

Life

After Jürs graduated from high school in 1962, she trained as a pediatric nurse . From 1964 to 1978 she worked as a clerk. She has been married since 1964 and has four children.

politics

Jürs had been a member of the CDU since 1989. A year later she became an active member of various party committees. She was deputy CDU local chairwoman in Harvestehude and Lokstedt and Niendorf - Schnelsen . She is currently the district chairman of the Eimsbüttel Senior Citizens 'Union and on the State Board of the Senior Citizens' Union.

Jürs was a member of the Hamburg Parliament from 2000 to 2001 and from 2006 to 2011 . She was a replacement for Thorsten Kausch, who left the citizenry . She sat for her group in the social committee and in the family, children and youth committee. From 1993 to 2000 she was a district representative in Eimsbüttel . In addition, she was a deputy in the social welfare authority (2005/2006) and in the science authority (2006).
