Thorsten Kausch

Thorsten Kausch (born September 4, 1973 in Hamburg ) is a Hamburg politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Hamburg Parliament from October 2005 to August 2006.

Life and politics

Kausch did his Abitur in 1993 in Hamburg. This was followed by military service . He completed an apprenticeship in business administration at the Kiel University of Cooperative Education . This was followed by a degree in law and postgraduate studies with a degree in business administration . As a management consultant, he was the personal advisor to Senator for Economic Affairs Gunnar Uldall and project manager for the events of the 2006 World Cup in the Hanseatic city.

After working in local politics, he was elected to the Hamburg parliament. There he was a specialist spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group in the field of child, family and youth policy. In the summer of 2006 he left the Hamburg citizenship because he was appointed head of Hamburg Marketing GmbH (HMG) on August 15th . Vera Jürs moved up on August 15, 2006 for the resigned in parliament.

He replaced Hariolf Wenzler (39) at HMG and was initially supposed to continue the business until the end of the project in March 2007. On February 14, 2007, the Hamburg Parliament decided to extend the contract to HMG. Since then, HMG has been performing expanded tasks for the Hanseatic city. Kausch was confirmed in his office. Since December 2010 he has also been the second managing director of Hamburg Tourismus GmbH.

In 2016 he ended all activities for the city and now works as a freelance management consultant.

Together with Nikolas Hill and Franziska Hoppermann , he will develop for the CDU in Hamburg their election program for the 2020 state elections.
