The Verdikal Gap (English, Bulgarian Вердикалска седловина Werdikalska sedlowina ) is about 750 m high, 5.3 km wide, icy and flattened mountain saddle in the north of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . On the Trinity Peninsula , it is part of the watershed between Bransfieldstrasse and the Prince Gustav Canal . It extends from the Louis Philippe Plateau in the north to Mount Canicula and the Trakiya Heights in the south and separates the Russell West from the Russell East Glacier .
German and British scientists mapped it together in 1996. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2010 after the town of Werdikal in western Bulgaria .
