Verena Buss

Verena Buss (born September 30, 1944 in Baden-Baden ) is a German actress .

Life

Verena Buss received her artistic training from Eduard Marks in Hamburg. Almost at the same time she got a leading role in the unpublished experimental film They found their way from Herbert Vesely at the side of another debutante, Doris Kunstmann . In 1966 she began making television films, accepted an engagement at the theater in her hometown of Baden-Baden and played the leading role of the young Johanna Benedikt at the side of Bruno Ganz in Der soft Lauf , an early product of New German Cinema .

Despite regular employment in television until the 1980s, Verena Buss remained primarily committed to the theater. Engagements have taken her to the Theater Basel , the Düsseldorfer Kammerspiele, the Städtische Bühnen Köln and the Hamburg Thalia Theater, among others . She received her most important TV engagements in the second half of the 1960s and early 1970s, when she mostly took on leading roles in ambitious television games with a contemporary historical or literary background. In 1968, in The Battle of Lobositz , she met Bruno Ganz again as a partner. She also appeared sporadically in individual episodes of various series such as Butler Parker and Der Fahnder .

Verena Buss also did radio and worked as a voice actress.
