Verena Keller (* 1945 in Zurich ) is a Swiss actress and writer .

Life

Verena Keller is the daughter of the Marxist psychologist and publicist Franz Keller . After her acting training at the Zurich stage studio , she worked as an actress in the German Democratic Republic from 1967 . At the end of the 1970s she returned to Switzerland, where she worked as an actress, cultural journalist and language teacher. In 1986, Keller played the director of the asylum center in Bernard Safarik's feature film The Cold Paradise .

In her novel Silvester in der Milchbar , published in 2014 by the past publishing house , she describes her time as an actress especially in Quedlinburg . Among other things, she was not recruited by the Ministry of State Security and presented human socialism as an illusion.

Your Roman Papi, where are you? , which appeared in 2015 in the past publishing house, deals with her father Franz Keller, who as a Swiss communist left his wife and daughter in 1945 to get involved in building the German Democratic Republic. In 2017, she published her travel report about a motorcycle tour on Route 66 from Los Angeles to Chicago in the USA, LA is calling .
