The Verheyefjellet ( Norwegian ) is a 2000 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the Sør Rondane mountains, it rises in the southwestern section of the Walnumfjella .
Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute named it in 1973. It is named after the Belgian ionospheric physicist Jean Verheye, who was involved in a Belgian Antarctic expedition in 1960.
