The Verkehrsgesellschaft Vorpommern-Rügen (VVR) is a transport company in the north-east of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . In addition to the headquarters in Grimmen, there are further depots in Bergen on Rügen , in the Hanseatic city of Stralsund and in Ribnitz-Damgarten .
The service area includes the entire district of Vorpommern-Rügen , which was created in the course of the district reform in 2011 , and thus an area of around 3,190 km² and around 224,000 inhabitants. The service area therefore also includes the transports on the two popular holiday islands of Rügen and Hiddensee .
