The publishing house Peter Pomp is a publishing house based in the North Rhine-Westphalian city ​​of Bottrop . It emerged in 1978 from the Pomp printing company , which as a medium-sized company can look back on more than a hundred years of company history. Frank Dittman, owner of the Merlin Group, has owned the publishing house, whose company building is near Halde Beckstraße , since 2000 .

Publishing program

The focus of the publishing program is on cultural and regional history publications, especially on the Ruhr area and the Lower Rhine . This includes illustrated books and popular non-fiction books (e.g. architecture and leisure guides) as well as exhibition catalogs, museum guides, cookbooks and publications on sagas and legends .

In the magazine sector, the publisher has been publishing Pro-Libris , the quarterly newsletter of the Association of Libraries of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, since 1996 . Furthermore, the volumes of the series of publications of the Niederrhein-Akademie, which have been published since 1998, and those of the Verein für Heimatpflege Land Dinslaken e. V. published publications on history and local history .
