Veronica Carlson (* 18 September 1944 in Yorkshire as Veronica Mary Glazer ) is a British actress . Notoriety she gained primarily through their roles in Hammer -Horrorfilmen.

Life

Veronica Carlson spent much of her childhood in Germany, where her father was stationed as a soldier. After the family returned to Great Britain, she attended a girls' school in Thetford and then a college of arts and technology at High Wycombe . Carlson made her debut as an actress in amateur shows there.

From 1967 she played small roles in films and television series. Your debut Carlson in a minor role as a tall blonde in the agent spoof Casino Royale on the side of David Niven . James Carreras, then chairman of Hammer Films, saw a photo of Carlson in a newspaper and hired her as a partner for Christopher Lee in Dracula's return . This was followed by leading roles in Frankenstein must die with Peter Cushing in 1968 and Frankenstein's horror in 1970. The 1974 horror parody Vampira was followed by another joint film appearance with David Niven, who played an aging Dracula.

In addition to her film roles, Carlson continued to appear as a television actress. This includes guest appearances on Randall & Hopkirk - detective with the spirit , Simon Templar and Department S . She played one of the leading roles in the short-lived television series Spyder's Web in 1972.

In 1995 Veronica Carlson ended her acting career. After a break of 24 years, she returned to the film business in 2019 with a role in House of the Gorgon alongside other hammer stars such as Caroline Munro , Martine Beswick and Christopher Neame .

Veronica Carlson is married and has three children. She lives in South Carolina with her husband . Besides appearances at film conventions, Carlson works as a painter of portraits. Her works have been auctioned several times for charitable purposes.
