Christopher Neame

Christopher Neame (born September 12, 1947 in London ) is a British actor .

Life

Neame began his career in 1970 after graduating from the Central School of Speech and Drama with a minor supporting role in Cornel Wilde's science fiction film No Blade of Grass . He then starred in the two hammer - vampire horror films Only vampires kiss bloody and Dracula chases mini girls . He became famous in Great Britain for his role as Lieutenant Dick Player in the series Colditz , which was set during the Second World War and which he played in 17 episodes between 1972 and 1974. In 1977 he was seen in 14 episodes of the series Secret Army, which also played during World War II, as Flight Lieutenant John Curtis . Two years later he starred in the Doctor Who multi-part series Shada , written by Douglas Adams , which was not completed due to a writers' strike at the BBC and was only released on video in 1992.

From the mid-1980s he played in American productions and had guest appearances in television series such as The A-Team , MacGyver and Trio with Four Fists and also appeared in the soap opera Zeit der Sehnsucht . In the late 1980s, he also had roles in major Hollywood productions such as DOA - Murder On Arrival and Ghostbusters II as well as in the James Bond film James Bond 007 - License to Kill . Neame is not related to the director Ronald Neame .
