Joshua Mark "Josh" McEachran (born March 1, 1993 in Oxford ) is an English football player. The midfielder is under contract with the Football League Championship club Birmingham City .

Career

McEachran was born in Oxford to Scottish parents. He began his football career with Garden City football club in the Oxford Mail Boys League , where he was discovered by a scout from Chelsea FC. He joined the football academy of the London Football Club at the age of eight and went to the "Marlborough School" in Woodstock .

He made his first Champions League game on October 19, 2010 in a 2-0 win over Spartak Moscow . He was substituted on in the 61st minute.

In January 2012, McEachran was loaned to Swansea City through the end of the season. At the end of August 2012, he was then loaned to Middlesbrough FC for one season .

On September 20, 2013 McEachran was loaned to the Football League Championship at Watford FC until January 2, 2014 . Immediately after his return to Chelsea, he was awarded again on January 23, 2014 for six months, this time to Premier League relegated Wigan Athletic .

On August 18, 2014, McEachran moved to Vitesse Arnhem in the Dutch Eredivisie until the end of the 2014/15 season .

On July 10, 2015, McEachran moved to English second division club Brentford for four years. At the end of September 2019, he moved to Birmingham City on a free transfer .
