Gary Gardner (born June 29, 1992 in Solihull ) is an English football player . He has been under contract with the English first division club Aston Villa since his youth . He is preferred in the central midfield .

Career

society

Gardner has been trained at the Premier League agent Aston Villa 's training center since he was a teenager , but had to take a long break early on in his career when he tore a cruciate ligament in December 2009 . Before his injury, he showed considerable goalscoring for a midfielder when he scored 14 goals by December of the 2009/10 season. After recovering from his injury, he continued to play with the Villans' second team in the Premier Reserve League for the time being . With one goal and two assists, he had a share in his team's historic 10-1 success over Arsenal.

Due to his good performance, he finally took part with the first team in preparation for the 2011/12 season, where he was used for the first time in the Premier League Asia Trophy in the game against Chelsea . However, in order to allow him to continue playing, they agreed with the second division club Coventry City in November 2011, a short loan limited to one month. In his first game there he scored a direct goal against Brighton & Hove Albion . Due to personnel shortages at Aston Villa, he was ordered back from his loan early.

As a result, he came on December 31, 2011, for his first Premier League appearance in the game against Chelsea . This game was followed by further appearances in the cup and league, so he made his starting line-up debut in the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on January 21, 2012.

National team

Gardner has played through almost all youth teams in his country and as a result took part in the U-17 Euro 2009 , the U-20 World Cup 2009 and the qualification for the U-21 Euro 2013 .
