In 2004 Lee Camp was called up for the first time in the England U-21 national team. By 2007 he completed five games for the junior selection. Another loan deal led Camp 2006 to Norwich City . In early 2007 he moved on loan to the Queens Park Rangers for whom he had been active in 2003.

Queens Park Rangers

In July 2007, Camp left Derby County and joined the Rangers for approximately £ 300,000. He signed a three-year contract with the London club. In the 2007/08 season Lee Camp was able to prevail as a regular goalkeeper and played all league games for his new club. He was also able to maintain his place at the beginning of the 2008/09 season.

Nottingham Forest

At the end of October 2008, he moved again on loan to a new club. This time it took him to Nottingham Forest . Camp had with his strong performances a decisive share in the relegation of the second division newcomers in the Football League Championship 2008/09 . After the season was over, Lee Camp signed a four-year deal with the Nottinghamshire club .

In the 2009/10 season , Camp remained the undisputed number 1 for the Reds. He managed with his team the best season in several years, which ultimately led to a third place in the table behind Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion . In the first play-off round, however, Forest failed in two games on table sixth and later promoted FC Blackpool . In December 2009, Camp was voted player of the month in the second division. At the end of the season he was also elected to the PFA Team of the Year of the second division together with his teammate Chris Gunter . Also in the 2010/11 season , Camp reached the play-off semi-finals with his team by finishing sixth. Against the third Swansea City (0-0 and 1: 3), however, the team failed prematurely, as in the previous year.

Opponents in qualifying for the EM 2012 were Serbia , who prevailed 2-1 in Belgrade. Four days later, he made his home debut in Belfast in the game against Slovenia and went 0-0 without conceding a goal.
