Veronika Straass

Veronika Straaß (* 1957 in Upper Bavaria ) is a German biologist , writer and translator .

Life

After studying biology , she worked on wildlife aid projects in South Africa , mostly on behalf of the Wildlife Biological Society in Munich. Since 1987 she has worked as a science journalist , non-fiction author , editor and translator from English and French.

She wrote several monographs , non-fiction books and specialist articles for magazines such as natur + kosmos , PM Magazin and Geo Saison . She has been living with Claus-Peter Lieckfeld west of Munich since the late 1980s .

The identification book songbirds , published in 2005 by BLV Verlag , has been translated into Dutch, French and Czech. She was editor for the environmental youth magazine TU WAS! For around three years, until December 2018 . responsible.
