The administrative building of the LVA Baden is a building complex with a high-rise in Karlsruhe . The building was erected as the headquarters of the Baden State Insurance Company's headquarters and is now home to the German Pension Insurance Baden-Württemberg .

The building with the official address Gartenstraße 105 is located on Weinbrennerplatz south of Kriegsstraße . It forms the north-western end of the Beiertheimer Feld service district in the south-west of Karlsruhe , where the Center for Art and Media Technology , the Federal Prosecutor's Office , the St. Vincentius Clinics and the Europahalle Karlsruhe are located. Allotment gardens and subsequently the inner-city recreation area Günther-Klotz-Anlage connect to the west .
Building description and history
The building complex was built between 1960-1964 according to the plans of the Karlsruhe architect Erich Schelling in the International Style built. It consists of the 80.5 m, according to other information 77 m high main building with 21 floors, the highest high-rise in Karlsruhe, and a low-rise building in front of it. In addition to the main building, an extension was built in 1976, which was also designed by Erich Schelling. The original building without the extension is a listed building.
In the years 2005–2007 the building complex was extensively renovated and modernized.
