The seat of the administrative association is in Heßdorf; its chairman is Horst Rehder (Heßdorf).

From May 1, 1978 to December 31, 1979, both communities belonged to the disbanded administrative community of Weisendorf . The administrative community Heßdorf was formed on January 1st, 1980.
