The administrative community Roßhaupten in the Swabian district of Ostallgäu has existed since September 1st, 1981. Its member communities are:

  1. Rieden am Forggensee , 1324 inhabitants, 13.17 km²
  2. Roßhaupten , 2234 inhabitants, 39.05 km²

The seat of the administrative community is Roßhaupten.

Roßhaupten made from 1 May 1978 to 31 December 1979 together with Lechbruck the dissolved administrative community Lechbruck . Since Rieden am Forggensee was re-established as a municipality by judgment of the Bavarian Administrative Court of November 5, 1980, but was not the size of a unified municipality, the administrative community Roßhaupten was founded by state law.
