From October 1, 1941, the club and FC Uerdingen 05 formed the KSG Uerdingen war syndicate . After the end of the Second World War , both clubs merged in July 1945 to form the sports association 05/10 Uerdingen . Women's soccer

The footballers of VfB Uerdingen were among the founding members of the then first-class Regionalliga West in 1985 and came fourth in the 1985/86 opening season. In addition, the team won the Lower Rhine Cup and qualified for the DFB Cup. There the Uerdingerinnen met in the first round to FC Bayern Munich . After a 1-1 draw after extra time , there was a replay in Munich, where Bayern won 2-0 and made it to the quarter-finals. In 1988 VfB was relegated from the Regionalliga and returned straight away. In 1990, the club applied for the newly created Bundesliga , but clearly missed the qualification. During the 1991/92 season, the team was withdrawn after the second match day. With Melanie Lasrich and Cornelia Trauschke , VfB Uerdingen provided two German national players . The club does not currently provide a women's team.

Men's soccer

The men of VfB Uerdingen were classified in the Kempen / Krefeld district class after the break-off in 1948 and were promoted to the district class straight away. In 1951 VfB was runner-up there behind Grün-Weiß Viersen . The sporting supremacy that had meanwhile been achieved in Uerdingen was lost in 1956 when the former merger partner Bayer 05 Uerdingen was promoted to the national league. Three years later, VfB also made the leap into the state league, but rose again to the district class the following year. The district class, or from 1978 district league, remained the sporting home of the Uerdingen, before the team managed to move up to the state league again in 2010, which could be held for three years. In 2015 he was promoted to the regional league again. In 2015, VfB completed its most successful sporting season in the club's history. In addition to the championship and the associated promotion to the state league, the team around coach Stefan G. Rex won both the Krefeld field city championship and the Krefeld indoor city championship. In 2014, 2015 and 2016, VfB Uerdingen was the first Krefeld club to win the Krefeld Feldstadt Championship three times in a row. This was followed by the victories of the Krefeld field city championship in 2017 and 2018. In 2019 VfB was relegated to the district league A.
