Vicenç Vilarrubla (born January 31, 1981 in La Seu d'Urgell ) is a Spanish cross-country skier .

Career

Vilarrubla took part in competitions of the Fédération Internationale de Ski from 1999 to 2013 . Until 2004 he mainly competed in the Continental Cup. He ran his first World Cup race in November 2001 in Kuopio , which he finished with 98th place in the 10 km freestyle. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2003 in Val di Fiemme , he finished 40th over 50 km freestyle and 39th place in the 20 km double pursuit race. From 2004 he took part in the cross-country alpine cup and the cross-country world cup . At World Cup races, he mainly placed outside the points. He was only able to win points in two World Cup races. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf in 2005 , he reached 51st place in the 30 km pursuit race, 42nd place in the 30 km mass start race and 27th place over 15 km freestyle. His best placement at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Pragelato was 31st in the 30 km pursuit. In February 2007 he got his first World Cup points in Changchun with 17th place over 15 km freestyle. This was also his best result in a World Cup race. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Sapporo in 2007 , he won 85th place over 15 km freestyle. He reached 48th place at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec over 15 km classic. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , he finished 53rd in the 15km freestyle, 40th in the 50km mass start race and 31st in the 30km pursuit race. His best result at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2011 in Oslo was 46th place in the 50 km mass start race. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme came 86th place over 15 km classic.
