Victoria Grace "Vicky" Ford (born September 21, 1967 in Omagh , County Tyrone ) is a British politician with the Conservative Party . She was a member of the European Parliament from 2009 to 2017 and has been a member of the British House of Commons since 2017 .

Life

After finishing school, Ford studied mathematics and economics at Trinity College , Cambridge . Ford works as an investment banker, including for the US company JP Morgan . Ford has been a member of the European Parliament since 2009, where she belongs to the European Conservatives and Reformists group. She is married and has three children.

EU parliamentarian

Ford is a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy and a delegation to the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly . As a deputy, she is active in the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs , the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and in the Delegation for Relations with India .

Member of the House of Commons

In the British general election in 2017 Ford was as a deputy for Chelmsford selected.
