biography

The slalom specialist was active from the early 1990s until 2002. During this period she started most of the slalom races of the Alpine Ski World Cup , but often failed to qualify for the second round. In November 1998 , however, she managed a 19th place in Park City and thus the gain of World Cup points. These points were the first for a skier from Andorra since the introduction of the Ski World Cup in 1967. Another point placement was the 26th place in the slalom of Sestriere 2000 .

Vicky Grau represented Andorra four times at the Winter Olympics and took part in five Alpine World Championships ( Morioka 1993 , Sierra Nevada 1996 , Sestriere 1997 , Vail 1999 , St. Moritz 2001 ). In addition to the slalom, she also competed in the giant slalom and in the super-G , but she achieved the best results in her specialty. At the Olympic Games this was 19th place in Nagano in 1998 and 24th in Salt Lake City in 2002 , the best World Cup results for Grau were 16th in the Sierra Nevada in 1996 and 19th in Vail in 1999.
